About

After three years of studying the History and Philosophy of Science at Leeds University, Jonny realised his degree qualified him for no real jobs at all. So he became a musician.

And then in 2007, the Guardian Science Podcast asked him to write songs for them. At last his years of study had purpose. Since then he has been singing science at people across the country and continues to do so now.

If you are a scientist and feel that your field of research could do with an explanatory song then please do get in touch.

    Hi Jonny

Saw you today on the Ancestor’s Trail in the Quantocks and thought you were simply fantastic! Hilarious and thoughtful all at the same time. Excellent musicianship and lovely voice too (bit saucy, which made me guffaw all the more)

    All the very best
